Walking in Favor--Ester

Walking in Favor – Esther

“Walking in favor” means living in obedience to God’s direction while trusting that His grace will position you where you need to be. In Isaiah 30:21, God promises that His people will hear His voice guiding them: “This is the way, walk in it.” Favor begins when we choose to follow God’s direction, even when the path is uncertain.

The story of Esther shows how God’s favor can elevate someone for a divine purpose. In Esther 2:17, Esther found favor with the king above all others and was crowned queen. This favor was not only about position—it was preparation. God placed Esther in the palace so she could later intercede for her people.

However, walking in favor does not mean life will be easy. In Esther 4:2, Mordecai stood at the king’s gate in mourning because of the decree against the Jews. Even in moments of distress, God was still working behind the scenes. Favor often places us in situations where courage and faith are required.

Finally, Isaiah 58:6–8 reminds us that true favor is connected to righteous living—loosening the chains of injustice, helping the oppressed, and caring for others. When we walk in obedience and compassion, God promises that our light will break forth like the morning and His glory will cover us.

Summary:
Walking in favor means listening to God’s guidance, trusting His placement in our lives, remaining faithful in difficult seasons, and living righteously toward others. Just like Esther, when we walk in obedience and courage, God’s favor not only blesses us but positions us to be a blessing and deliverance for others.
